Tour Itinerary and Inclusions

Day 1 — Manila to Sagada (Approx. 12-hour land journey)

At 5:30 AM, our driver will pick you up from your hotel as your journey to the mountains begins. Sit back and enjoy the scenic drive as you travel through changing landscapes, passing cities, valleys, and mountain roads on the way to Sagada. Along the journey, we will make two to four stops, including a lunch break at a local restaurant. Arrival in Sagada is expected at around 5:30 PM, followed by dinner and check-in at your accommodation.

Day 2 — Sagada Discovery

After breakfast, your day begins at 9:00 AM with a visit to one of Sagada’s oldest villages, followed by a scenic hike to Bomod-ok Waterfalls, also known as the Big Falls. The trek takes approximately two to three hours round trip, passing through rice paddies and mountain landscapes before reaching the majestic falls, where a refreshing swim awaits for those ready for a cold dip. In the afternoon, return to Sagada town for lunch at the well-known local favorite, The Yogurt House, accompanied by your experienced guide. The discovery continues with visits to Echo Valley, Sagada’s Old Church, the famous Hanging Coffins, and the entrance of Lumiang Burial Cave. You will also visit a local pottery community, where you can try shaping your own pot or mug with the guidance of local artisans. In the evening, you may enjoy dinner at one of Sagada’s recommended restaurants, such as Log Cabin, before returning to your hotel for the night.

Day 3 — Sagada – Bontoc – Banaue

After breakfast, continue your journey with a visit to the Bontoc Museum, home to a collection of artifacts crafted by the Igorot people for everyday use, traditional celebrations, and cultural practices. The museum offers a meaningful glimpse into the rich heritage and way of life of the indigenous communities of the Cordillera region, complemented by a model of a traditional Bontoc village located beside the museum. At around 11:00 AM, the journey continues toward Banaue via the scenic mountain route, where you can enjoy sweeping views of the Cordillera landscapes along the way. Arrival at the Banaue Viewpoint is expected at around 2:00 PM, where you will witness the famous 2,000-year-old Banaue Rice Terraces, often called the “Eighth Wonder of the World” and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. After the visit, proceed to your accommodation where you can spend the rest of the afternoon at your own pace — walking around the village, visiting the local market, or simply relaxing on the veranda while taking in the timeless view of the terraces.

Day 4 — Banaue – Bangaan Village – Batad Village (UNESCO World Heritage Site)

Good morning. After breakfast at around 8:30 AM, your accredited mountain guide will meet you to begin your mountain journey aboard a private local jeepney. Along the way, you will visit traditional rice villages, including Bangaan Village, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its preserved cultural landscape. At around 10:30 AM, you will arrive at the Batad parking area, where the road ends and a short 15-minute walk leads you to Batad Village. By approximately 10:45 AM, you will have your first breathtaking view of the amphitheater-shaped Batad Rice Terraces before settling into your accommodation.

At 11:00 AM, begin your discovery walk through Batad, trekking along rice paddies toward the highest viewpoints of the terraces. Your experienced local guide will lead you to the most scenic areas of the village as you continue toward the famous Tappiya Waterfalls, where you can enjoy a short rest, a snack, and a refreshing swim. Afterward, the walk continues back to the village, passing through rice fields and small communities along the trail. Arrival at your accommodation is expected at around 4:00 PM, where you can relax and enjoy the peaceful evening overlooking the Batad Rice Terraces.

Day 3 — Batad – Banaue – Manila

Begin your morning at 6:30 AM with breakfast and coffee while enjoying the peaceful views of Batad’s rice terraces. At 7:30 AM, start your walk back to the end of the road where your jeepney awaits for the return journey to Banaue. Upon arrival at around 8:30 AM, meet your private transportation and bid farewell to your local guide as you begin the scenic drive back to Manila. Arrival at your hotel is expected at approximately 5:30 PM, marking the end of your journey and our services.
